How It Started
Self Rez Coffee Company didn't start with a business plan or a trend in mind. It started with Stephen — the founder, a 9-year Army Infantry veteran, and owner-operator who sat down one day, said a prayer, and made a quiet decision to build something that mattered. Something honest. Something rooted in purpose.
Here's the honest truth: coffee was never really his thing. Not through the Army, not after. It was never part of the routine.
Then the morning after that prayer, he couldn't stop thinking about coffee. Couldn't shake it. For someone who'd never been drawn to it a day in his life — that meant something.
When the decision was made, there was no hesitation. Stephen dove in headfirst — not chasing a trend, but feeling as though he'd been handed something bigger than a business. A mission. And with the support of his wife by his side, that mission became the foundation everything else was built on.
From the beginning, Self Rez was built with the belief that if something is worth doing, it's worth doing with intention, integrity, and faith at the center.
