First, have to preface with that I like my coffee black. With that being said, taste is great. Not earth shattering in taste but very good. Not bitter, even though it is a dark roast.
As for the amino acid L-Tyrosine that is supposed to make the caffeine last longer than regular coffee, seems like it works! I got my cup of coffee not long before 8am CDT. I don't suck down coffee so it took an hour or so to finish it. It's currently 12:13pm CDT and, usually with regular coffee, I'm kind of dozing at this point in the day when I get minimal sleep (3-5 hours) BUT I can say that I am NOT dozing. Don't even feel tired. I feel alert and awake.
Side note: Starter Pack is probably your best bet as a first time buyer as it comes with 2 bags, a reusable K cup filter, and a stainless cup that I compare to the camping cups we used to have when I was a kid when we'd go camping (our entire flatware was made of that material; was great for camping and eating outside and easy to wash)
