Product Claims & Language Policy

Purpose & Scope

This policy is intended to clarify how Self Rez Coffee Company and Self Revive Coffee Roasters (collectively, “Self Rez Coffee”) describe our products, ingredients, sourcing practices, and any added components. It is designed to ensure transparency, accuracy, and compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, including but not limited to standards enforced by the USDA, FDA, and FTC.

Organic & Certification Claims

Coffee is a natural agricultural product; however, the term “organic” is a regulated certification under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Organic Program.

Unless a specific product is explicitly labeled as USDA-certified organic, Self Rez Coffee does not market, represent, or advertise its coffees as certified organic.

Some ingredients used by Self Rez Coffee — including flavorings and select coffee beans — may be USDA-certified organic. Any reference to “organic” on this website, on packaging, or in marketing materials applies only to those specific ingredients and should not be interpreted as a certification claim for the finished coffee product as a whole.

Self Rez Coffee does not use the USDA Organic seal or make certification claims unless a product has met all applicable requirements and is clearly identified as such.

Ingredient-Level Language & Descriptions

Phrases such as “made with,” “crafted with,” “includes,” “uses,” or similar wording are intended to describe individual ingredients only.

These descriptions do not imply that:

Functional Coffees & Added Ingredients

Some Self Rez Coffee products contain added ingredients such as amino acids, flavorings, or other food-grade components.

Added ingredients are included at food-safe levels and are intended to complement the coffee experience. These ingredients do not alter the classification of the product as coffee.

Self Rez Coffee does not make medical, therapeutic, disease-related, or drug claims regarding any product.

Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, and are not marketed as dietary supplements, drugs, or medical products under U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) definitions.

Self Rez Coffee products are sold as conventional food products (coffee) and are regulated accordingly.

Any added ingredients are used as food ingredients and are not intended to provide pharmacological, therapeutic, or supplement-level effects.

Consumers with dietary concerns, sensitivities, or medical conditions should consult a qualified professional prior to consumption.

Third-Party Statements & Marketing

Self Rez Coffee is responsible for the accuracy of its own official communications, packaging, and marketing materials.

Statements made by third parties — including cafés, retailers, distributors, influencers, affiliates, or customers — do not necessarily reflect the views, claims, or representations of Self Rez Coffee.

Wholesale partners and third parties are asked not to market or describe Self Rez Coffee products as organic or certified unless a product is explicitly identified and provided as USDA-certified organic.

When made aware of inaccurate or misleading third-party descriptions, Self Rez Coffee takes reasonable steps to request clarification or correction.

Good-Faith Transparency & Corrections

Self Rez Coffee is committed to good-faith compliance and transparency. If any language, description, or representation is found to be unclear or misleading, we will take reasonable and timely steps to clarify or correct it.
